Almonds biscuits

Do you already have an idea of what sort of frightful thing to prepare for the Halloween party? To make children happy here is a hint on how to prepare horror style sweets out of simple almonds biscuits! Today I propose these scary almonds little bones covered with white chocolate for a screaming dessert that even the adults will love!

Serves 6

Pastry flour 250 g (8.82 oz)
Toasted almonds 150 g (5.30 oz)
Butter 130 g (4.59 oz)
Sugar 130 g (4.59 oz)
Egg 1
Egg yolk 1
Lemon 1
White chocolate 150 g (5.30 oz)

In a bowl mix the flour with ground almonds, sugar and the grated lemon peel, add the softened butter and the eggs. Knead quickly (pic. 1), clue (pic. 2), put it in a plastic wrap and let it stand in the fridge for about an hour.
Take the dough, roll it out onto a floured surface into a sheet about 2-3 mm (0.08-0.11 inches) thick, cut into many rectangles about 8x4 cm (3.15x1.57 inches), then shape the little bones by folding the two long sides of each rectangle of dough toward the center (pic. 3). Then model the ends slightly pressing the dough with your fingers (pic. 4).
Then put them on a baking tray covered with baking paper (pic. 5) and oven cook at 180°C (356°F) for about 15 minutes (pic. 6).
Melt the chocolate in a bain marie, immerse the cold biscuits (cookies), turn them around with the help of a pliers, when they are completely covered with chocolate put them to dry (pic. 7) on a grill, in order to avoid chocolate smearing (a mistake that I did ;-)).
